ZSK Mc¹⁸ twin screw extruders from Coperion for the production of top-quality masterbatches |
Delta Kunststoffe AG has recently acquired 2 high-quality extruders from Coperion GmbH to expand its masterbatch production capabilities. The machines represent ZSK Mc18 twin screw high torque product line. The first one, purchased in 2016, is equipped with a screw of 26 mm in diameter. It was followed by ZSK 45 Mc18 – a 45 mm screw diameter model. The delivery was preceded by trials program at the Coperion testing facility.
ZSK Mc18 product line is noticeable for its very attractive price/performance ratio, as well as outstanding energy efficiency. Due to its torque of 18 Nm/cm3 the throughput is nearly 100% higher compared to the previous ZSK Mc PLUS series. The new machines will provide better efficiency and flexibility, especially when manufacturing small and medium batches.
Coperion had already supplied Delta with several extruders, and the first delivery was made in 2005. It was a ZSK 58 Mc PLUS also for masterbatch production. According to Andreas Bäßler, Delta Kunststoffe Managing Director, the company appreciates its partnership with Coperion for the quality level of the processing plants.
