Helmut Nägele and Jürgen Pfitzer, Chief Executive Officers of Tecnaro GmbH produce bio-based plastics on the new ZE Basic twin-screw extruder |
Tecnaro GmbH from Baden-Württemberg has managed to double its biocompound output capacity as the result of partnership with KraussMaffei Berstorff. This bioplastic processing company had ordered a new compounding line for its sole industrial site. In response to the growing demand for sustainable and customizable polymer compounds Tecnaro will now be able to raise mass production of innovative materials.
From the very beginning in 1998 Tecnaro demonstrated a distinct ecological approach in its business planning and everyday operations confirmed by several awards for sustainability, innovation and future technologies. The company is a specialist in developing, manufacturing and distributing renewable bio-based compounds suitable for all common types of processing including extrusion, injection moulding and 3D printing aiming at a broad range of applications. Tecnaro materials are divided into three branded product groups: ARBOFORM®, ARBOFILL® and ARBOBLEND®.
It happened so that the very first extruder acquired by the company on the secondary market was a product of KraussMaffei Berstorff. According to Jürgen Pfitzer, Tecnaro CEO, the machine's excellent performance was one of the main reasons for ordering the new equipment at the same manufacturer. ZE Basic 62 model will help the compounder to scale-up twice its current throughput quantities to keep up with the ever growing demand for bio-based solutions.
