Bandera's constant strive for innovation and solid expertise in PET flat die extrusion technology made possible the development of PURe. The innovative technology by Bandera takes traditional post-consumer PET flakes and pre-treats them efficiently, thus enabling the production of extra clean material for direct food contact.
The PURe process is implemented jointly with HVTSE™ Highly Vented Twin Screw Extruders. The resulting PET film complies with cleaning efficiency requirements by both FDA and EFSA.
The new technology does not impair the possibility of using the conventional modern three-layer (A-B-A) PET film structure with outer barrier layers made of virgin material. Thus, PURe is equally functional for packaging applications. One of the critical advantages of PURe technology is the combination of reduced power consumption and exceptional quality of end product.
