Mondi Consumer Packaging is committed to protecting packaged products against any contamination, thus keeping their scent intact. Mondi will put its most recent developments, including preformed tubes/bags, on display at PACK EXPO Las Vegas, to be held on 25 to 27 September.
Interested public will mostly gather from across the North American continent and be able to witness the exceptional mechanical characteristics of the films as to get the full picture of the benefits they bring.
Mondi film solutions create a unique barrier structure with a PA or EVOH middle layer making the film virtually impassable for any moisture, gas or aroma. Moreover, reinforced material structure enhances film durability and stability compared to traditional films. Shelf life of food, cosmetics, chemicals and agricultural products is improved correspondingly.
Mondi supplies its innovative films as printable 1...50-pound preformed tubes with gussets for automated FFS (fill-form-seal) applications. An additional benefit is embossed surface texture of the tubes that protects them against slipping for easier palletizing. Another film version is heavy-duty films for manually filled preformed bags, boasting increased resistance to flex cracking. These are just as strong as aluminum and are also printable in up to six colors, which makes the bags highly attractive for both pet-food and medication sectors, as well as for the end customers.
CEO of Mondi, Georg Kasperkovitz, said that he sees the PACK EXPO Las Vegas trade fair an important platform for emphasizing the flexibility of barrier film technology from the company. Kasperkovitz admits there is a vast potential for the company in the barrier solutions' market of North America and is confident that Mondi film products will be of a great help to food/pharma manufacturers in the U.S. and beyond.
