Con-Pearl has succeeded in improving its innovative Con-Pearl® lightweight polypropylene boards to be fire retardant, and to contain carbon fibre.
Con-Pearl® fire retardant is the first fire retardant lightweight board made of polypropylene which passed the fire standard. The material is ECE R118 (VI, VII, VIII) certified. It´s best suited for bus interiors. Regardless of whether it is installed below the window or covers the entire sidewall and roof, with Con-Pearl® fire retardant the passenger safety will not be compromised. In addition, Con-Pearl® allows to reduce the weight of a bus by up to 50%, as the company's representative stresses.
Con-Pearl® carbon fibre is the second innovation. After the words of Con-Pearl, with this carbon fibre the lightweight board achieves a new evolutionary stage in terms of its stability. The carrying capacity as well as the heat resistance were greatly improved. The carbon fibre reinforced material especially suitable as carrier boards for trunk floors. The company is focussing the e-mobility sector, in which weight reductions is very important.
