17 EXTRUSION & RECYCLING ASIA 1/2025 INDUSTRY NEWS Construction of Second High Performance Additives Production Line in Cangzhou, China, Begun Clariant is expanding its Cangzhou production site for the manufacture of the multifunctional additive Nylostab S-EED. The new, second production line in the Hebei Province of China, will jointly be owned and operated by Clariant and its local partner Beijing Tiangang Auxiliary Co., Ltd. “We are excited to take our partner - ship with Beijing Tiangang to the next level by breaking ground on a second production line in Cangzhou today. The continued investment from Clari - ant demonstrates our commitment to the Chinese market and rea rms our strong belief in the prospects of local in - dustries such as textiles and bers, au - tomotive and packaging,” said Zhigang Miao, Clariant’s Global Head of Polymer Solutions, Additives Polymer Solutions. For three years, since the launch of the rst joint-venture site in 2021, the production site has achieved full capac - ity, earning it an excellent reputation as a strong local facility with established international background and exper - tise. The new production line beginning construction today will specialize in the manufacturing of Clariant’s unique mul - tifunctional Nylostab S-EED additive that is highly compatible with nylons by molecular recognition. Its excellent process stability at high temperatures results in less lament breakage dur - ing spinning processes and enhances productivity by reducing cycle time for injection molding processes. “The success of our rst joint-ven - ture production site in Cangzhou has undoubtedly paved the way for our new facility today. The Cam-Lock is the same as supplied on the Bullet and will be supplied on additional heads, where applicable. It allows quick and easy assembly and disassembly of the crosshead and eliminates the socket head caps screws. By removing and replacing the internals, a di erent pro - le can be extruded in minutes rather than hours. Since the cam lock resets the internals in the right con guration every time, there's far less chance of error, compared to the assembly and misalignment issues with socket set screws. The Cam- Lock o ers several features such as: it takes only ½ turn to remove and install the de ector tip and no fastening hardware is required. Additional features include fast tool changes (threaded retaining ring for the die and threaded tip retainer), dies remove from the front and tips from the back, tooling retainers for gum space adjustment, vacuum connections, sim - pli ed cleaning and reduced downtime and operating costs.
