After studying Process Engineering, Thomas Holzer started his career in the paper division of the technology company Voith. He heldmanagement positions at the company in Ger- many, Indonesia, Austria, and China, where he was respon- sible for global projects as well as the service and spare parts business for many years. Holzer has comprehensive knowl- edge in the sale, engineering and project management of special machines, and brings with him a wealth of manage- ment and leadership experience. He sees himself as a team player: “I am looking forward to my role at TROESTER. As part of a strong team, I would like to generate fresh impetus for the further development of TROESTER’s business areas. I bring with me my international experience to successfully position the company globally in the future. Here, biaxially oriented polyethylene- based fi lms (BOPE fi lms) enable high-performance solutions that can be superior to conventional BOPP packaging fi lms in terms of processing and cost ef fi ciency. Tosaf has developed new additive masterbatches speci fi cally tailored to the PE fi lm orientation process. Currently, this portfolio includes slip, anti- block, antistatic and antifog additives. The ability to use them individually or in combination gives manufacturers high fl ex- ibility in meeting speci fi c product requirements. Tosaf has worked closely with Brückner Maschinenbau to vali- date the good processing properties of its new BOPE master- batches. As these pilot tests have shown, fi lms produced with them meet high optical and functional requirements without compromising mechanical properties. In addition, Tosaf has demonstrated the good processing properties resulting from the use of the new additives on one of the most advanced production lines available today.
