Ein besonderes Highlight, um Neuent- International Conference on Bio-based Materials wicklungen der bio-basierten Chemie- und Kunststoffindustrie zu ehren und würdigen, ist die Verleihung des Innova- tionspreises „Bio-based Material of the Year“. Dieser wird von den Konferenz- teilnehmern gewählt. Innovationspreis „Bio-based Materi- al of the Year 2017“ : Schon zum zehnten Mal wird der Innovationspreis „Bio-based Material of the Year“ an die innovative bio-basierte Chemie- und Kunststoffindustrie für die Findung neu- artiger Anwendungen und Märkte ver- geben. Der Schwerpunkt des Preises liegt hierbei auf Neuentwicklungen, die 2016 auf den Markt gekommen sind oder 2017 auf den Markt kommen wer- den. März 2017, Aachen In der Aufbereitung von Kunststoffen, die zwischen der Synthese des Kunst- stoffs und seiner Formgebung in der Ver- arbeitungsmaschine stattfindet, werden die Material- und somit die späteren Bauteileigenschaften durch die Zugabe von Füllstoffen und Additiven gezielt ein- gestellt. Daher ist die Aufbereitung der zentrale Punkt in der Prozesskette der Kunststoffverarbeitung als Ausgangs- punkt für innovative Produkte und An- wendungen. Innovative Compoundieraufgaben – Herausforderungen, Perspektiven, Lösungen Sowohl die Eigenschaftsprofile der Kunststoffe als auch der Aufbereitungs- prozess und die Weiterverarbeitung un- terliegen stetiger Optimierung, um wirt- schaftlich effiziente und innovative Pro- dukte zu ermöglichen. Dabei ist es uner- lässlich, sowohl aktuelle Entwicklungen in der Industrie als auch neue Denkan- stöße aus der universitären Forschung zu beobachten. Diese IKV-Fachtagung stellt dafür eine ideale Plattform dar. Neben den universi- tären Beiträgen bieten Rohstoff- bzw. Füllstoffhersteller, Anlagenbauer, Com- poundeure und Kunststoffverarbeiter ei- nen tiefen Einblick in aktuelle Entwick- lungs- und Forschungsarbeiten.
