Tecnova is always at the forefront in recycling equipment for all polymeric materials, with the realization of extrusion lines suitable for all needs of the industry, from laboratory systems up to lines of two ton/hour capacity that can process the various types of plastics, and competitive way to manufacture new products. Another critical issue is al- so the fact that many companies, opti- mizing their internal processes, are able to reuse internally the recycled material less contaminated. Savings and reliability An aspect not to be overlooked is the energy savings of Tecnova plants, ob- tained by installing AC motors. Further- more the Tecnova lines are versatile, reli- able and with a mechanical configura- tion which facilitates access to the diffe- rent parts during maintenance. R egeneration of plastics is constantly evolving; for this, it is essential for a recycler to have the best performing and reliable equipment over time. Today the process requirements are driving more and more frequently towards the recy- cling, processing and exploitation of ma- terials with a high degree of contamina- tion and moisture, as in the case of strongly printed products. Moisture removal The double degassing systems of Tecno- va are able to remove moisture up to va- lues of seven to eight percent, which can vary up to ten percent thanks to the new degassing system developed and called VTS (Vacuum Twin Stuffer). As part of a constant research aimed at continuous improvement of single-screw extrusion lines, it has been developed the natural 38 Recycling Extrusion 1/2017 degassing VTS system with automatic re- store of the melted material; this compo- nent is able to double the capacity of the lines, both single and double vent, pro- cessing material with high moisture con- tent. This results in a proportional increase of the hourly production of the lines with equal amounts of material being pro- cessed. With these solutions, it is there- fore possible to remove the eight to nine percent of humidity.
