I n the drying area, the visitors will see the X COMB dryer. These mini dryers are a real combination of patented Moretto’s tech- nologies: fully electric (they do not use compressed air), equip- ped with powerful turbo-compressors, zeolite technology, Dew Point equalizer and the exclusive OTX hopper. Particularly indicated for drying highly hygroscopic technical materials, are used in the most demanding sectors such as me- dical, optical and automotive, the X COMB dryers are the best partner in terms of efficiency and energy savings. As all the other Moretto’s dryers, also X COMB can be equipped Moretto S.p.A., leading supplier of auto- mation and auxiliary equipment for the plastic industry, is going to attend wire exhibition in Düsseldorf, Hall 14 – Booth G02 that will be held in conjunction with Tube exhibition. In the last years, the exhibition has attract- ed a wide range of visitors not only inter- ested in machinery for processing and producing cables and metal wires, but also in machinery, equipment, tools and auxi- liaries. During the fair Moretto will display the most innovative solutions for drying and dosing. 44 Materials Handling Extrusion 2/2020 with MOISTURE METER device, an exclusive Moretto solution for the precise in-line measurement of residual granule moistu- re. Moisture Meter analyses and detects the exact content of residual moisture up to 15 parts per million. With Moisture Meter the customer certifies that the material is perfectly dried, proof of quality production according to the technical, aesthetic and functional characteristics required. The loss-in-weight dosing solutions, DBK GRAMIXO and DPK, will be displayed in a dedicated area of Moretto’s booth. DBK GRAMIXO, batch dosing unit equipped with continuous loss-in-weight control of extruder feeding, manages the extru- der and the speed of the line to keep the weight–per-meter ra- tio of the extruded product constant in time. The machine is characterized by its extreme precision, thanks to the double weighing cell control. Precise and accurate dosing (0.01%) is guaranteed by exclusive dosing double eyelid shutter device and the Rotopulse technology. With a reaction time of only 25 milliseconds, this system is able to dose up to six components creating accurate blends. Gramixo is designed to be installed directly on the processing machine, thanks to the exclusive immunity vibration system.
