Mit dieser erst seit Kurzem verfügbaren Technologie ist es abseits von Elektronenspeicherringen in Groß- forschungseinrichtungen möglich, Hoch- leistungsmaterialien auf mikrostrukturel- ler Ebene in drei Dimensionen zu unter- suchen. Dabei ist der Analyseablauf dreistufig: Zunächst wird mit dem von der Firma 3D-Micromac AG aus Chemnitz gemein- sam mit dem Fraunhofer IMWS entwik- kelten Laserpräparationsgerät microPREP eine Probe erzeugt, die über die passen- de Geometrie zur Untersuchung im Röntgenmikroskop verfügt. Die Generie- rung experimenteller 3D-Daten erfolgt mit dann mit dem hochauflösenden 810 Ultra von ZEISS und die Visualisierung und Analyse der Daten mit einer neuarti- gen Virtual-Reality-Datenbrille InViewR der arivis AG.
