Brückner: Complete commissioning of third-party extrusion line in Brazil
The commissioning of a new Brückner film stretching line is always an exciting time, even with almost 60 years in the biax business. Brückner Servtec proved successfully that they could set up a complete non-Brückner BOPP line in Latin America.
When the Brazilian film manufacturer Innova started the project with Brückner Servtec, it was obvious that it would be a great challenge for both sides. The 8,2 m line has been originally supplied by Andritz, and finally planned to be installed after a few years. Since the moment Brückner acquired the assets of Andritz some time ago, it was clear for Brückner Servtec, that they would support Innova with total commitment to set up this line at their decision.
As it was a third-party line with different technology, the experienced Brückner specialists studied the technical documents from Andritz intensively, in order to become 100% familiar with the system. In addition, Innova's team was perfectly organized and prepared for this special project. Therefore, both teams could handle even difficult tasks during installation, check-up and start-up of the 5-layer line. Finally, after a hard work, the teams have been rewarded with a smooth start-up and first-grade film. With the vast experience won from this project, Brückner is now also able to support all major Andritz Biax lines.
Innova's industrial director Sergio de Oliveira Machado is highly pleased with the result of the project and says: "Our team received highly comprehensive attention from Brückner´s specialists, truly a desire for dialogue and learning from our experience while dealing with the requests from major BOPP consumers in Brazil. Thanks for all team engagement, skills and efforts. New challenges are coming, and it is important to have a strong and fruitful relationship between us."
Brückner Servtec is very proud of the cooperation with Innova: The demanding project was only possible due to the excellent collaboration and dedication of the involved teams from the customer and from Brückner.
