UNION Officine Meccaniche S.P.A. announces that the testing of a complete line for the production of PET multilayer sheets with optical quality will be carried out in June at their HQ based in San Vittore Olona.
The line is composed by a main twin screw extruder and a single screw co-extruder equipped with a new filtering concept capable of stopping even the smallest impurities present in the materials used.
The line is designed to be fed with 100% PET bottle flakes post-consume without compromise the quality of sheets achieved, which result similar in trasparency and brightness to the sheets made by virgin material.
The hourly output of 1300 kg, useful width of 1400 mm with sheet thickness adjustable from 0.13 to 2 mm.

The company stresses that their lines are able to produce r-PET sheets that satisfy all the requirements set for the food contact, either for monolayer sheet from 100% r-PET (EFSA-FDA) or for multlayer sheet in A-B-A structure
