In recent years The Compound Company from Enschede, the Netherlands, has been developing rapidly backed up by the market growth as well as an increasing number of customers. It has become an important manufacturer of thermoplastic compounds as well as extrudable adhesive resins.
The Compound Company is going to redouble its efforts in response to the growing demands for its excellent high-grade polymers. It has recently initiated an ambitious €8 million expansion program implicating creation of a new compounding facility in close vicinity to its headquarters. Preparatory works on the site are already in progress while the construction start is scheduled for December. According to Dutch manufacturer' plans the machines will be installed in February and tested in March so that the facility is to be fully operational by April 1st.
Along with the construction of the second plant the existing facility will undergo modernization in order to upgrade its material stocking capacity. New silos will also help to optimize polymer handling operations in terms of automation and safety.
The investment program aims to increase the total annual output of the company from 30 000 to 60 000 tons (here including productivity of both the plants: the upgraded and the new one). The two facilities are to be tooled up in the same way to provide better flexibility, which according to Commercial Director Wouter van den Berg is one of the key features of its marketing strategy. 20 new jobs will be created in the company.

The Compound Company was founded in 2005 as Resin (Products & Technology) BV. It has later gained prominence mainly due to its EcoForte and Yparex branded product series.
