Coexpan launched a new plant and barrier capabilities in Moscow
COEXPAN is pleased to announce the completion of its new factory in Kotovo (Moscow Region) and the start-up of new capabilities in barrier material extrusion technology. The inauguration event held on July, 25th at the new facilities and was attended by several local authorities.
COEXPAN EXTEKH's Plant previously located in Kola (Selyatino, Óblast, Moscow), has an extensive portfolio of coextruded rigid sheets (PP, PP Barrier, PS, PS Barrier and PLA based products) for use in Form, Fill and Seal (FFS) machines to package dairy products, fresh and ready-prepared food, among others. Furthermore, in the coming months the Company also plans to incorporate thermoforming technology which will enable it to diversify its range of products even further.
The design of the new Plant is based on Lean Manufacturing principles and boast a total built surface area of 10,000 m2 of which 3,500 m2 are given over to production. The project also includes reallocation of offices and warehouses to provide more sustainable, efficient and safer work areas.
Committed to quality and customer service
The Plant has been designed to comply with the most stringent international food safety and hygiene regulations. The Company has Food Safety System Certification 22000 recognized by Global Food Safety Initiative based on existing ISO standards, which ensures a comprehensive framework for endorsing food safety management systems and offers models used throughout the whole food supply chain.
