After nearly 30 years in the US market, the company is expanding the area of its Bartlett, Illinois, facility to 2,800 m². The expansion should support the planned growth of Herrmann Ultrasonics in the new decade, create additional production space and enable stronger employee growth.
According to managing director Uwe Peregi, the addition includes a new training and buy-off center for customer seminars and practical technological training, a completely new packaging and metal laboratory for material testing, and redesigned office space. The work is scheduled for completion in June 2020.
The global presence and the important North American market for ultrasonic welding of plastics, nonwovens, packaging and metals will be strengthened. The focus is on markets such as the medical and automotive industries, e-mobility batteries, food and hygiene.
