Albis strength­ens prod­uct de­vel­op­ment ca­pa­bil­i­ties in North Amer­ica

ALBIS Plastics has further improved their local product development process in North America by adding additional product development resources. As a result the company, which is one of the leading globally operating companies in the distribution and compounding of technical thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers, is now also developing compounds locally for the North American market at their manufacturing site in Duncan, SC.

“Investing in our development process here in the US enables us to respond even faster to customer demands for local grades”, says Stefan Fuhlendorf, CEO of ALBIS Plastics in the Americas.

The Duncan manufacturing site also houses a dedicated small lot production line for product development purposes. All product development activities are backed by the extensive know how of ALBIS’ central product development department in Germany and a fully-equipped on-site lab with A2LA accreditation according to ISO 17025. Furthermore, ALBIS Plastics has implemented and maintains a quality management system according to IATF 16949.
