WARP portable was developed by daniels + erdwiens industrial design specialist for iNOEX GmbH - an advanced extrusion company. This man-portable terahertz radar system can be used for measurement of pipe wall thickness in order to detect possible variations that most frequently occur after changing the product diameter during the continuous extrusion operation.
WARP portable is provided with two changeable positioning aids allowing for comfortable measuring of both large-sized and medium pipes. An operator has to position the contact points of one of the two aids on the surface of the pipe to be sure that the device is always at right angle to its center. A ring-shaped indicator is located on the back side of the device to inform of correctly performed operations.
