In May 2020, the organisers of Powtech, a leading trade fair for powder & bulk solids processing and analytics, conducted an extensive survey of exhibitors and visitors to find out what they thought about POWTECH taking place. A promising number of customers had expressed their support for holding the event under adapted conditions.
So the concept of the POWTECH Special Edition was developed in a very short time and launched on the market. The aim was to win 250 - 300 exhibitors for the concept. This met with recognition and approval from partners.
In the end, however, not enough exhibitors were prepared to participate in the POWTECH Special Edition on 30 September/1 October. The concerns about the uncertainties regarding the pandemic, the further economic development and the travel behaviour of the visitors were too high.
In agreement with APV and VDI as the honorary sponsors of POWTECH, it was therefore decided not to hold the Special Edition.
