Union invests to reduce production time and increase precision

Even in a ‘particular’ year in which the uncertainty of a pandemic reigns supreme, Union has made important investments with confidence and courage in several directions.
Union has bought new large machine tools for the Production Department: they are integrated with advanced quality control systems which will allow our company to reduce production time and increase precision of the final manufactured goods.
The R&D Department has worked a lot on both technological and process know-how, starting from the extrusion lines for the production of thermo formable sheet for packaging, in order to improve the output and the quality performance but, above all, in order to widen the type of polymers that can be processed on the same line.
In this regard, two new generation lines with a capacity of 1500 kg / h have recently been sold precisely for the production of thermo formable PET and bio plastic sheets for food packaging. Within 1stQt of 2021, at Union headquarter in San Vittore Olona (MI), a similar line will be available as a pilot line to all those interested in making production tests.
In due time Union will launch an information campaign in which, in addition to renewing the invitation to visit the company, they will provide in detail the features of the line and the agenda for those who wish to view or test it.
