Albis has obtained distribution rights from Bekaert for the Beki-Shield® steel fiber products
A new chapter in a successful collaboration: ALBIS has obtained additional distribution rights from Bekaert for the Beki-Shield® steel fiber products for almost the entire EMEA region. ALBIS is thus further expanding its range of technical solutions for innovative applications in the plastics industry.
"We are very pleased to elevate our partnership with Bekaert to a new level," says Susann Schrader, Vice President BU Standard Polymers & Sustainable Solutions at ALBIS. "In recent years, we have already successfully developed innovative projects together in Europe. The steel fiber batches are an ideal addition to the product portfolio of ALBIS, from which customers in the additional EMEA regions can now also benefit."
Bekaert's Beki-Shield® steel fibers are used to make plastics electrically conductive, to prevent electrostatic charges or to protect against electromagnetic interference. The electrical conductivity, combined with low weight and high surface resistance, are particularly in demand in the automotive and construction industries, as well as in the healthcare sector.
"Electrically conductive plastics filled with Beki-Shield® steel fibers can be processed in both extrusion and injection molding. Additionally, they can be effectively equipped with color additives, allowing for diverse and customer-specific colorations and designs. ALBIS has a global network of highly specialized application technicians who provide support throughout the entire process: from design and material selection to the manufacturing process until the production of ready-to-market end products.
