Meanwhile, the latest generation of the patented helix II VSI extrusion die series ensures yet another optimized layer distribution and guarantees a smooth production process. Deposits in the die head are efficiently avoided, and material dwell and color change times are reduced to a minimum. In particular, fast inline changes of strip geometries and -color enable pipe manufacturers to optimize their production planning and save costs. The production of single-layer or multilayer pipes, as well as pipes with smooth or rippled inner surfaces, can also be realized without any problems. By using an optionally available adjustable melt gap, producers can compensate for negative external influences on pipe quality at any time during the production process, such as those that can arise from the use of different materials or also temperature influences, and thus achieve the best pipe qualities even more efficiently.
For the production of pipe bundles (“jacketing line”), the company relies on the proven coat die series, which is also equipped with the patented VSI distributor concept. In combination with water-cooled die inserts, sticking between the individual cable pipe and the usually very thin jacket layer is prevented.
Extrusion lines from battenfeld-cincinnati also impress with their excellent line design. For example, very efficient full-bath cooling tanks, pipe dryers specially developed for high-speed extrusion, and state-of-the-art haul-offs are used in the production of micro ducts. The modular line concept and globally networked production sites enable the implementation of cost-optimized lines for the production of standard products, but also customized special solutions can be realized easily with only a few additional efforts.
