SKZ and iNOEX successfully put the ultrasonic system "AUREX ERS 160" into operation during the network week at SKZ. The existing system was completely retrofitted with the latest measurement and control technology.
As part of the SKZ Network Week, we successfully completed the extensive retrofit of an AUREX ERS 160 T ultrasonic pipe measuring system together with SKZ. Our ultrasonic system is now integrated into the pipe extrusion line of the technical centre in the Materials, Compounding and Extrusion (MCE) department at SKZ. With our system, key quality parameters such as pipe wall thickness and diameter can be continuously monitored and documented.
The modernised system features a number of innovative functions that we have developed specifically for quality monitoring. Thanks to the latest technologies, pipe products can be measured accurately and reliably, which significantly improves quality control and handling, for example through automatic calibration. Our measuring system is already being used successfully in various research and customer projects.
At the official handover of the system at SKZ (see photo), Kersten Kurda, Piet Wippermann and Andreas Büttner expressed their enthusiasm for the new possibilities offered by the updated ultrasound system. Andreas Büttner, Head of Training and Technical Centre MCE at SKZ, explained: "Thanks to the upgrade, we have been able to significantly increase the performance of our system and expand our monitoring capabilities with numerous innovative features."
Piet Wippermann, who supported the project on behalf of iNOEX, is delighted with the successful implementation at the SKZ Technical Centre: "Our strategic partnership with SKZ illustrates our common goal of driving innovation and quality in the plastics industry." Kersten Kurda, who has already supported the implementation of the previous system at SKZ, adds: "SKZ and iNOEX are firmly convinced that the use of state-of-the-art measurement technology will sustainably optimise the future of pipe production. With the retrofit we are well prepared for future development projects".
