An innovative, sustainable future for rigid packaging. From 12 to 15 February 2025, SACMI will be at the Bangladesh International Plastics, Printing & Packaging Industry Fair, in Dhaka, to showcase its cutting-edge cap and preform manufacturing technologies and services

SACMI is all set for the 17th IPF in Dhaka (12-15 February 2025), where the company will be showcasing advanced rigid packaging solutions for the cap and preform sectors. By drawing on extensive worldwide experience, SACMI develops pioneering technologies that meet every production requirement, providing profitable, sustainable technologies and plants that align with the industry’s latest trends.

The 26/22 mm neck-cap transition
Much of the focus will be on the new 26/22 mm cap family: an emerging standard that’s increasingly popular thanks to the advantages it offers in terms of raw material savings and energy efficiency. Designed very much with sustainability in mind, these solutions reduce virgin resin consumption without altering performance or the consumption experience. More specifically, SACMI will present the latest multi-purpose caps for the GME 30.40 standards, tethered version included, and the 30.41 standard, ideal for highly carbonated drinks. Compared to traditional neck finishes, these caps can provide plastic savings of over 35%. For still water, instead, SACMI offers the lightest cap on the market, weighing less than 1 gram.

Advanced support and customization with Rigid Packaging LAB services
The SACMI range offers plenty of scope for customization, allowing manufacturers to respond to both production needs and market-specific consumer behavior patterns. An integrated approach to neck-cap design that draws on the considerable skills and resources of the SACMI Rigid Packaging LAB delivers state-of-the-art solutions, certified by the major international brand owners.

SACMI provides a comprehensive range of technologies - from CCM (continuous compression molding) rotary cap presses to IPS (injection preform system) presses for the production of PET preforms - suitable for water, CSD and hot filling. All solutions deliver high performance and low raw material/energy consumption.

SACMI Computer Vision: AI-powered process control
The introduction of trailblazing AI-equipped vision systems for in-line quality control takes innovation and efficiency to the next level. Integrated across every stage of production, these systems shift ‘quality control’ in the direction of ‘process control’, resulting in unique solutions (e.g. the ability to incorporate the vision system directly on the preform press) and further advantages such as user-friendly system control and easy operator training.

Last but not least, manufacturers can integrate new digital assistance services such as SACMI Smart Pack and SACMI Smart Care to benefit from even simpler machine management, automatic machine status checks and proactive problem solving.
