The packaging specialist allfo Nederland B. V., based in Wormerveer (Netherlands), takes over Zakpak B. V., manufacturer and supplier of vacuum bags, shrink bags and films. The allfogroup subsidiary is thus systematically expanding its presence on the Dutch market. As part of the takeover, allfo Nederland is expanding its production and storage capacities at the site: six new converting machines are increasing production and the storage area is doubling to a total of 2,200 square metres. The number of employees is also increasing.
“With the acquisition of Zakpak, we are strengthening our market presence in the Netherlands and expanding our production capacities at the same time. Of course, this is also a great advantage for our local customers, as we will be able to offer them an even better service in the future,” explains Hans Bresele, owner of allfogroup, which is headquartered in Waltenhofen (Bavaria). “This investment is a strong commitment to the Dutch packaging market and our site in Wormerveer. It will remain the hub for our business in the Netherlands,” continues Bresele.
Expansion of the site
allfo Nederland relocates production from Zakpak to the allfo site in Wormerveer, near Amsterdam, where it moves into new, larger premises. All employees and machines are taken over. The number of employees increases from 14 to 18, who will mainly be employed in production. A further six new machines will be installed at the site over the next few weeks, in addition to the two existing ready-to-wear machines. The production and storage capacity will increase to a total of 2,200 square metres.
