Since well over half a century, GAW Group based in Graz (Austria) has brought to its customers fine service in the construction of industrial plants. The international group employs over 500 people making 102 million € yearly, 5.5% of which goes into preserving and developing its state-of-the-art technologies. The group focuses on complete process solutions for industrial, automotive, paper, and environmental applications ¬— from consulting, R&D, engineering and manufacturing to logistics, commissioning, training and aftersales service.
The partnership of ARTEC and GAW Group has enabled expanding the company's development budget considerably, which formed a perfect basis for innovative plant construction. In return, the GAW Group helps making the recycling of plastics more sustainable and green. Today, following the general growth strategy of GAW Group baptized Plast2Product — Waste2Value, ARTEC is realigning its operational business. The company plans enhancing its emphasis on process expertise and competence.
Il line with this, since the beginning of March 2017, ARTEC machinery GmbH is transferred to the GAW Group site in Graz, with Dr. Alexander Rindhofer having taken over as Managing Director of ARTEC. His predecessor, Dr. Guntram Bock, will continue to work as the company's consultant.
ARTEC believes that value-adding cycles are getting closer to the production core and to recycling, initiating a linear process concept. As for the industrial manufacture of plastics and plastic products, sustainability combined with value enhancement will define the future increasingly. The challenge can only be met through smart networking of multidisciplinary expertise with up-to-date technologies for material production, product development and recycling.
Bearing in mind the GAW Group's expertise in engineering and manufacturing, the realignment of ARTEC as process specialist in synthetic recycling technology is a vital move. From now on, the units of the GAW Group's Plastics Technology Division (ARTEC, ECON and UNICOR) are able to cooperate more closely, supplementing each other in terms of expertise. Through the created synergies, the newly reconfigured GAW Group stays a pioneering partner for any manufacturing and recycling processes. The Group provides perfectly adapted process and system technologies for sustainable and cost-effective business development, from designing turnkey solutions to their implementation.
