Technically advanced concepts for one of the most important profile markets in Europe
Poland is developing more and more into one of the most important profile markets with a high export share within Europe. If the forecasts of the market research institutes are to be trusted, continuous growth is to be expected in this sector. Particularly, the topic of cost optimization is strongly in the focus of producers in order to stay competitive. "Coextrusion is a feasible option for this because here, cost-effective materials or recycled materials can be processed for the invisible core of the profile," explains Eric Sanson, Product Manager for profile extrusion at KraussMaffei Berstorff.

"From our wide product range of space-saving coextrusion concepts, we can offer each customer the extruder configuration that is adapted to its respective technical requirements," Sanson says.
The exhibit KMD 73 K/P completes the conical series for the high-output range (120 – 330 kg/h). The column version is particularly suited to use under constrained space conditions in production; it can be adjusted quickly and moved easily in all directions. Consequently, flexible add-on injection in various positions with the use of different molds is guaranteed.
Premium-quality machines for high product quality
The processing technology concept of the conical series provides optimal melt homogeneity and enables processing the most various materials such as regrind, regranulate or dry blend using only one screw geometry. Molybdenum hardfacing of the screw in combination with deep-nitrided barrels ensures active wear-resistance and consequently long machine service life.
The coextrusion models fulfill the criteria for the increase of overall equipment efficiency (OEE)—a combination of maximum machine availability, perfect product quality and optimal performance.
