Ampacet Corporation is a global industry specialist headquartered in Tarrytown, NY, USA. As part of its expansion strategy, the company has built a new plant for masterbatch production in the Australian town of Dandenong, which experiences a local industrial boom. Thus, the local market will profit from tailored color masterbatches and additives manufactured here. These products allow for creating desired appearance of flexible packaging and various items for food production, shipping, and retail. Ampacet customers can easily bring required texture, paper-like touch, metallic appearance, and even enhanced performance to their products.
Yves Carette, CEO and president of Ampacet, thus commented the news: "We are proud of our expansion in Victoria, the country's production hub. We have been present both in Australia and New Zealand for a long time. The new Dandenong plant makes it possible for us to cater to the needs of our customers better and better."
Wade Noonan, the Minister for Industry and Employment of Victoria state, added: "Ampacet Australia is a newcomer on an ever-expanding list of producers who made their choice to come in Dandenong, a leading country's manufacturing district. Our ministry is delighted to see this producer expand and spread its products all over the world."
The plant comprises cutting-edge machinery for the production of color masterbatches tailored to clients' needs, as well as a new lab for R&D and quality inspection. In particular, two twin-screw extruders with semiautomatic bagging units and the most advanced control systems are installed.
