An independent German group, RKW delivers outstanding film and nonwoven solutions for agriculture, horticulture, drink and dry food packaging, as well as for medical needs, chemical production and construction. Farmery films and nets produced by RKW Group make harvesting and storing hay, straw or silage secure and efficient. As a top European and global producer in the film sector, RKW commits itself to reinforcing its sustainability-oriented portfolio continually. Lately, the group has been making multimillion investments in expanding its production facilities for agricultural films/nets.
The investments cover the group's two production facilities, a Belgian and a German one, turning them into Competence Centers for farmery solutions true to this name. The two sites supply farmers and horticulturists with nets for hay round-bales, greenhouse films, and films/tubes for silage production.
Paul Leenders, Vice-President Marketing and Sales of the RKW's Agriculture Division, sees the film and net solutions in question as vital parts of the group's portfolio: "We have set ourselves the goal of further expanding worldwide sales of these products. The double-digit-million investments represent another critical milestone for this growth." The Hoogstraten and Michelstadt plants being renewed will focus on further developing "products which provide our customers with the highest added-value," confirms Leenders, confident as for that later on, "also our customers in international growth markets will benefit from this."
The group will also pull up the slack of its silage portfolio by redefining categories of films and tube products following the market needs. Thus, whether a farming company looks for unbeaten silage quality, for cost-efficiency or time gains, RKW proposes clear solutions that bring benefits to its customers. The updated portfolio will be formally launched this fall.
