Im Bereich Recyclingmühlen ist Schönenberger nicht nur bei
den Herstellern bekannt. Viele Endverbraucher schätzen bereits
die Hartmetall bestückten Hochleistungsmesser, die gegenüber
einem Standard HSS-Messer eine extrem hohe Standzeit auf-
weisen. Der perfekte Nachschliff rundet die Serviceleistung ab.
Somit festigt sich das Unternehmen weiter auf dem Kunststoff-
markt und baut seine Präsenz weiter aus.
For over 50 years, Schönenberger has been manufacturing
industrial knives, and for many years, it has also been ma-
nufacturing cutting rotors that are either individual compo-
nents or can be put together to make up a complete cutting ro-
tor of up to 1,000 mm as well as complete cutting rotors up to
a range of 400 mm. The innovative construction is pioneering
for the small and medium rotors that are predominantly used.
Therefore, these rotors are constructed with shaft and clamp-
ing elements that can cost-efficiently be re-used if the cutting
rotor body must be replaced due to wear out or damage.
Now, for the first time, large cutting rotors are produced in
sizes 600 and 900. Depending on customer needs, the materi-
al is available in tool steel, power metal steel or tungsten car-
bide. The tooth geometry is laid out depending on polymer
properties and application. All of these parameters guarantee a
long life, optimal pellet quality and minimise the dust content
during cutting. These rotors are available for all major pelletizer.
So that the cutting rotors can also be implemented for a long
time, Schöneberger offers a qualified resharpening service since
the cutting rotors are only efficient and economical if the origi-
nal tooth geometry is maintained.
In addition to the cutting rotors, Schönenberger also offers a
new feed roll coating for extremely high demands. The HPE80
has outstanding characteristics in terms of wear resistance and
heat resistance up to170 ° C. Due to its white and neutral
coating, it can also be used for colour-sensitive products and,
due to its consistency, it is the ideal coating for highly-filled po-
lymers.
In the field of recycling mills/granulators, Schönenberger is
not only known by among these manufacturers. Many end
users already appreciate the high-performance knives that exhi-
bit an extremely high service life when compared to a standard
HSS knife. The service offerings are rounded out with perfect
sharpening.
With all of these things, the business continues to strengthen
its position on the plastics market and continues to develop its
presence.
