in gravimetric dosing with the an-
nouncement of the new Gramixo™, a
continuous gravimetric batch blender of-
fering industry first features in gravime-
tric dosing for extrusion. Building on a
proven Moretto design, the new Grami-
xo features a traditional double-eyelid
shutter capable of 25 millisecond batch-
ing speed. At the heart of the doser you
will find an inclined mixer offering preci-
sion mixing weighed on a double load-
cell to ensure precision weighing and
featuring a totalizer function that pro-
vides real-time and on-demand reporting
of actual consumption.
Bringing together Contrex’s range of
products visitors to K will be able to take
the opportunity to see first-hand the Na-
vigator 9000™, an integrated system for
the management of the cooling ring,
dosing system and thermal modulation
in a closed loop. The Navigator unit cen-
trally coordinates all the production
around the bubble film. Each production
parameter is controlled and managed by
a powerful central server that utilizes a
special proprietary batch timing system
algorithm capable of automatically en-
suring production starts in only two
minutes. Using the included 15” color

& Control. K 2016 also presents the op-

Displayed at K, Contrex will be high-
lighting its Atlantis™ 23T cooling ring.
Designed to drastically reduce the time
of production startup, Atlantis 23T is an
innovative high-efficiency automatic
multi-flow air ring with sectoral thermal
modulation for accurate and automatic
thickness adjustment. With this system it
is possible to drastically reduce the thick-
ness tolerances along the entire circum-
ference of the bubble and compensating
the channeling of the melt flows and
possible misalignment.
